Cherry Liqueur

Cherries – 1.5 kg;
Sugar – 300-500 g;
Vodka – 2 l.
Sort and wash the cherries. You can dry the berries first.
Place the cherries in a large glass container. Sprinkle with sugar. Let sit for 2-3 hours.
Pour vodka over the ingredients. Stir gently.
Cover the container. Leave it at room temperature in a dark place.
Let the drink steep for at least 4 weeks. Shake occasionally.
Filter the finished liqueur and bottle. Let it sit in the refrigerator for another 2-3 days before tasting.
