1 medium acorn squash
50 ml maple syrup 1/4 cup
30 ml butter, melted 2 tbsp
.5 ml ground cinnamon or ground nutmeg 1/8 tsp
Cut squash in half lengthwise, remove and discard seeds. Arrange squash halves, cut side down, in baking dish. Bake in preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for 45 minutes. Turn squash halves cut side up.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir together maple syrup, butter and cinnamon. Spoon syrup mixture into centres of squash halves. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or until squash is tender.
