4 large homemade biscuits, crumbled
1 egg, beaten
1 cup applesauce
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1 cup milk
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whiskey Sauce
WHISKEY SAUCE
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 (5.33-ounce) can evaporated milk
4 Tablespoons margarine
1 egg, beaten
3 Tablespoons whiskey
Mix all of the ingredients (except Whiskey Sauce) in a large bowl; pour into a 1-1/2 quart buttered casserole. Bake at 350 deg. F for 50 to 60 minutes. Top with Whiskey Sauce.
Serves 6 to 8.
Whiskey Sauce
Combine all ingredients except whiskey in top of double boiler. Place over boiling water and cook, stirring well until thick. Keep warm until serving time or make ahead and refrigerate. Just before serving while warm, add whiskey.
Makes 1-1/2 cups.
