Beefy Mushroom Caps

24 large mushrooms
40 ml butter or margarine
250 ml onion, finely chopped
125 g ground beef
30 ml celery, finely chopped
– mushroom stems, finely chopped –
50 ml ketchup
50 ml dry bread crumbs
5 ml garlic powder
– salt & pepper to taste –
50 ml Parmesan cheese, grated

In a large skillet; melt butter. Add onion, ground beef and celery. Saute until onions are clear and soft and beef is browned.

Add mushroom stems, ketchup, bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir well. Remove from heat.

Stuff mushroom caps. Arrange on baking sheet. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Broil for about 5 minutes until heated through.
