Banana Cake

4 ozs butter
6 ozs sugar
2 eggs
2 mashed bananas
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoon boiling milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
8 ozs flour

MOCK CREAM FILLING
2 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon boiling water

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, mashed bananas, then baking soda dissolved in boiling milk. Lastly add flour and baking powder sifted together. Bake in two sandwich tins for 20 minutes at 350 F. Fill with whipped or mocked cream.

Put all in a basin and beat with a beater until thick like cream. Vanilla may be added if the mixture looks curdly just keep beating it will go smooth.
