Banana Apricot Tea Bread

1-3/4 cup sifted all purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening, soften
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 cup mashed bananas
1 cup dried apricots, finely chopped

Preheat oven to 350*. Grease a 9 X 5 X 3 inch loaf pan. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. With spoon, mix or cream shortening with sugar. Add eggs and beat until it is light and fluffy. Next, add the flour mixture to the egg mixture. Beat the flour mixture with the bananas and apricots until smooth. Pour into the pan. Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven but let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then remove from the pan.
