1 stick margarine
1 quart fresh, frozen or canned peaches, sweetened to taste
1 cup self rising flour
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk

Melt 1 stick margarine in a baking dish. Slice and sweeten 1 quart of peaches. Make a batter of the flour, sugar and milk. Pour over melted margarine in baking dish, Place peaches evenly on top of the batter mixture. Bake for 45 minutes at 350*F. Serve with a topping of whipped or ice cream. An easy and inexpensive dessert.
