1.5 L potatoes, cooked & mashed 6 cup
500 ml cabbage, shredded 1 cup
250 ml onion, chopped 1 cup
125 ml water 1/2 cup
30 ml butter 2 tbsp
125 ml milk 1/2 cup
salt & pepper to taste
125 ml cheddar cheese, shredded 1/2 cup
In a skillet, cook cabbage and onion in water until most of water has evaporated. Add butter and cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Add mixture to mashed potatoes along with milk, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Place potato mixture into a lightly greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for 40 minutes or until heated through.
