500 g lean ground beef 1 lb
5 ml Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp
pepper to taste
125 g blue cheese, cut into 4 chunks 1/4 lb
50 ml dry red wine 1/4 cup
4 hamburger buns
4 red onion slices
In a large bowl; mix ground beef, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
Take a quarter of the beef and insert a chunk of the blue cheese forming a patty. Repeat with the remainder of the beef and cheese.
Pour wine into a shallow dish. Turn each burger in wine and let rest while heating a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Cook burgers 4 minutes on each side.
Place burgers on burger buns. Top with red onion slice.
