Spareribs with Coffee Barbecue Sauce

Have plenty of napkins on hand when you tackle these addictive, sticky ribs. Rich coffee, mustard and molasses combine to form an irresistible glaze that will have you licking your fingers and going back for seconds. Serve with cool coleslaw and warm cornbread.

7 pounds spareribs, parboiled
1 cup prepared TASTER’S CHOICE® 100% Pure Instant Coffee, made very strong
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
5 drops hot pepper sauce

PREHEAT oven to 350°F.

COMBINE coffee, vinegar, molasses, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and hot pepper sauce in small saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes. Place ribs in shallow roasting pan; coat all sides with sauce.

BAKE uncovered for 55 to 60 minutes or until tender. Baste often with remaining sauce.

Makes 8 servings.
