Brown Sugar Pie

This is an old-fashioned favorite that’s as good as it is simple.

3 cups dark brown sugar, firmly packed
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, well beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups whole milk
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, salt, eggs, vanilla and milk.

Pour into the unbaked pie shell, and bake for 30 minutes. Test for doneness when a knife inserted into pie center comes out clean.
