Deluxe Jalepeno Cornbread

1 cup yellow cornmeal
17 oz whole kernel corn
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 jalepeno pepper, chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup buttermilk
pimento, chopped
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 medium onion, chopped

Mix all ingredients except cheese. Pour into a well-greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Place the cheese on top. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
