Tomato Apple Chutney

2.5 kg ripe tomatoes, peeled & diced 5 lb
1.5 L tart apples, pared 6 cup
2 large onions, chopped
500g seedless raisins 1 lb
2 garlic cloves, minced
500 g dark brown sugar 1 lb
15 ml salt 1 tbsp
10 ml chilies, crushed 2 tsp
15 ml cinnamon 1 tbsp
5 ml allspice 1 tsp
2 ml ginger 1/2 tsp
2 ml cloves 1/2 tsp
500 ml cider vinegar 2 cup

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Cover, simmer 10 minutes. Uncover; simmer, stirring often, 30 minutes longer or until thick. Ladle into hot sterilized sealers and seal.
