Pear Pie

1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
1 (29-ounce) can pears, drained
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ground nutmeg for sprinkling

Place drained pears in unbaked pie shell; set aside.

Combine sugar, flour and ginger and spread over pears. Drizzle the cream and vanilla over all and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bake in 350*F (175*C) oven for 1 hour.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
