1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon Baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Mashed peaches
1/4 cup Shortening
3/4 cup Granulated sugar
1/2 cup Butter milk
1/2 cup Chopped nuts
2-1/4 cups Flour
2 cups Eggs (well-beaten)
Cream shortening, add sugar and eggs (beat well). Add milk. Sift together dry ingredients. Add peaches and nuts. Bake in loaf pan. 1 hour at 350 degrees. Excellent, moist and delicious.
Yield: 1 loaf
