Munch Fudge

1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 1/3 cups sifted powdered sugar
2 1/3 cups crispy rice cereal

Melt the butter and chocolate chips with the corn syrup in a large, heavy saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in the powdered sugar and rice cereal, mixing well

Press mixture in buttered 9-inch square pan. When firm cut into squares.

Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
