4 mint leaves
1/2 ounce simple syrup
2 ounces white rum
3/4 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
Club soda, to top
2 mint leaves, for garnish
In a cocktail shaker, lightly muddle mint with simple syrup.
Add ice, lime juice, and the rum and briefly shake well.
Strain into an ice-filled highball glass and top with the soda.
Garnish with mint sprig.
