750 g lean ground beef 1 1/2 lb
175 ml dry bread crumbs 3/4 cup
50 ml wheat bran 1/4 cup
160 ml can 2% evaporated milk 5.4 oz
1 egg
5 ml chili powder 1 tsp
2 ml garlic powder 1/2 tsp
1 ml each salt & pepper 1/4 tsp
BARBEQUE SAUCE
250 ml ketchup 1 cup
50 ml onion, finely chopped 1/4 cup
25 ml brown sugar 2 tbsp
In a large bowl; combine ground beef, bread crumbs, bran, milk, egg and spices. Divide mixture evenly among muffin cups, pressing down lightly.
BARBEQUE SAUCE: In a bowl, combine ketchup, onion and sugar. Spoon about 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of sauce over each muffin. Bake in preheated 375 F (190 C) oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until meat is no longer pink in centre.
