Mary Yarborough Pie

1 (16-ounce) can tart cherries
1 (4-ounce) can crushed pineapple
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 (3 1/2-ounce) package cherry gelatin
3 bananas, sliced
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1 (9-inch) graham cracker pie crust
1 heavy cup cream, whipped
2 tablespoons granulated sugar

In a saucepan over medium heat combine cherries, crushed pineapple, flour, and sugar. Cook until thick.

Remove from the heat and add cherry gelatin; stir and cool. Add sliced bananas and chopped nuts.

Pour into a graham cracker pie crust. Chill thoroughly.

Whip cream with sugar to soft peaks. Serve with pie.

Makes 8 servings.
