2 cups raisins
2 cups hot water
3 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
4 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nut meats
Pour water over raisins. Add baking soda. Let stand overnight. In morning add remaining ingredients. Grease three 1-pound coffee cans and bake at 350 for 1 hour, then remove bread from cans.
