5 green apples, cored, peeled, diced
100g sugar
100ml water
50g raisin, soaked overnight in Marsala wine
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
250g plain flour, sifted
250g butter, softened
100g sugar
20g salt
Vanilla ice cream
Make caramel with the sugar and water in a pan. Add apple dices and sauté until the sugar syrup coats the apple dices evenly. Add raisins and cinnamon powder and mix well. Let cool.
Mix sifted flour, almond powder, butter, and sugar and salt in a big bowl; using your fingers, lightly break the mixture until it attains a crumbly texture.
Divide the caramelised apple into 5 portions. Place each portion of the caramelised apple dices on a plate and top with some crumbles.
Gratinate the apple crumble until golden brown.
Top with vanilla ice cream and serve.
