A Russian Favorite
250 gm flour
1-2 eggs
2/3 cup of the sugar
100 g of butter
5 teaspoons milk
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
For the cream:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
200 g butter
Garnish:
200 g chocolate sprinkles
1-2 teaspoons poppy seeds
Mix eggs with sugar, add melted butter, milk, soda, and mix thoroughly. Add flour and mix into a dough. Refrigerator 2 hours.
After refrigeration pass the dough through a meat grinder. Bake on a flat an for 20 minutes at 250 degrees F.
Cool, then break up.
Meanwhile, place the unopened can of sweetened condensed milk in a pot of boiling water. Boil for 2 to 3 hours, refilling water as necessary. Cool. Mix with butter.
Mix the crumb mixture with 2/3 of the cream mixture and mount into the shape of an ant hill. Pour the remaining cream mixture over top. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and garnish with chocolate shavings.
