1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups mashed yams
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Cream butter and sugar together in a large bowl; add eggs and stir. Add yams and mix well. Stir in milk, vanilla, and salt, mix well.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 350*F for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the center is set.
