Sprimp Celery Bisque

250 ml celery, chopped
250 ml potatoes, diced
50 ml onions, chopped
250 ml water
– pepper to taste –
115 g can shrimp, drained & coarsely chopped
30 ml butter
30 ml flour
500 ml milk

In saucepan; combine celery, potatoes, onion, water, salt and pepper. Simmer, covered, until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes, stirring often. Add shrimp.

In a separate saucepan; melt butter, add flour, gradually add milk. Stir until thickened. Add to vegetable and shrimp mixture. Mix well and simmer 10 minutes.

Serves 4
