750 ml rolled oats
500 ml sugar
75 ml cocoa
250 ml milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
125 ml dessicated coconut
125 ml chopped nuts
Pinch of salt
Simmer sugar, milk, butter, cocoa and salt over a low heat until well blended, then add rolled oats, chopped nuts, coconuts and vanilla and remove from heat. Beat mixture well until stiff, then drop in spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Leave until set.
