Serve this spicy beef dish with rice and beans or as a tasty filling for fajitas.
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon crushed dried oregano
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 jalapeno, seeded and sliced (see note)
1 pound beef for stir-fry, thinly sliced
Combine oil, cumin, oregano and garlic in a small bowl.
In a skillet, heat half the oil mixture. Add green bell pepper, onion and jalapeno. Stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes. Remove vegetables from skillet.
Add remaining oil mixture and beef and stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes until cooked. Add reserved vegetables. Cover; cook 1 minute until thoroughly heated. Serve hot.

NOTE:
Because hot peppers contain oils that can burn your eyes, lips and skin, protect yourself when working working with peppers by covering one or both hands with plastic gloves or bags. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly before touching your eyes or face.
