Pemmican

1 lb meat or fish
1/2 cup favorite berries (such as high bush cranberries, or blueberries)
3 tablespoon vegetable oil (or you can use the fat from the animal)

Cut meat into thin slices and dry in oven at 200 deg F for 4 to 5 hours.

Pound the dried meat or put in blender until worked into a fine powder.

Mix berries and meat together. Press into 9×13 inch pan.

Pour vegetable oil over the meat until the mixture holds together. No refrigeration required.
