375 ml butter or margarine 1 1/2 cup
75 ml fresh lemon juice 1/3 cup
50 ml packed light brown sugar 1/4 cup
50 ml unsweetened apple juice 1/4 cup
2 ml caraway seeds 1/2 tsp
1 L shredded red cabbage 4 cup
3 medium apples, cored, peeled & chopped
In a saucepan, melt butter and add lemon juice, sugar, apple juice and caraway seeds. Bring to a boil, add cabbage and apples. Return to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cover lightly, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes.
