Lazy Potato Perogy Casserole

9 lasagna noodles
500 ml cottage cheese 2 cup
1 egg
salt & pepper to taste
500 ml russet potatoes, cooked & mashed 2 cup
250 ml cheddar cheese, grated 1 cup
1 ml onion salt 1/4 tsp
25 ml butter 2 tbsp
250 ml onion, chopped 1 cup
sour cream

Cook noodles in salted water. Line lightly greased pan with one layer of noodles. In medium bowl, mix cottage cheese, egg, salt and pepper; spread over noodles. Add another layer of noodles.

Mix mashed potatoes, cheese, onion salt and pepper. Spread over second layer of noodles. Cover with a third layer of noodles.

Melt butter. Add chopped onion and sauté until onions are clear. Pour over third layer of noodles. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 F (180 C) degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Serve with sour cream.
