2 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
3 cup fresh figs
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
Measure and sift together flour, soda and salt. Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Add to mashed figs. Fold in dry ingredients and nuts. Place in well greased and floured pan or 2 (1 pound) coffee cans. Bake 55 to 60 minutes at 325 degrees to 350 degrees.
