Chocolate Crackles

4 ounce unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup salad oil
2 cups sugar
4 eggs (unbeaten)
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup powdered sugar

Melt chocolate. Blend in oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix vanilla in. Separately, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into chocolate mixture. Add nuts and mix well. Chill dough several hours or overnight.

Drop dough by teaspoonfuls into powdered sugar, roll and shape into balls. Bake at 350 for 10 – 12 minutes.
