1/4 lb butter
1 cup brown sugar – packed
1 egg
1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecan pieces
Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar until well blended. Beat in egg, then flour, vanilla and pecans.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoon, 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned and crisp. Remove immediately from baking sheet and let cool on racks.
Makes 3 dozen.
