Crushed ice as needed
Bourbon 2 oz.
Mint syrup (recipe follows) 1 Tbsp.
Mint sprigs for garnish
For each cocktail, fill a julep cup with crushed ice. Add bourbon and syrup; stir rapidly. Garnish with mint.
Mint Syrup
Yield: 48 servings
Sugar 2 cups
Water 2 cups
Fresh mint sprigs 6
Combine sugar and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool syrup, transfer to storage container and add mint. Refrigerate overnight.
