1 1/2 pounds boneless pork shoulder
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon tequila
1 tablespoon molasses
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/3 cup water
1 green onion with top, sliced
Cut pork into 1-inch cubes. Place cubes in single layer in a 1-inch skillet. Top with remaining ingredients, except for green onion. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally until water has evaporated and the pork is slightly caramelized, about 35 minutes.
Spoon on to a serving platter and sprinkle with green onion. Serve with wooden picks.
