1 lb of sliced bacon
1 1b container of pitted dates
package of wooden toothpicks
Cut the bacon slices down the middle and wrap a half slice around each date, securing it with a wooden toothpick.
Place on a broiler pan with holes for draining the fat and broil for about 8 minutes, then turn and broil for another 4 or 5 minutes, till the bacon is fully cooked without being burned.
You can leave the toothpicks in them and serve hot or cooled.
