Get a head start on fast taco snacks with this seasoned sauce.
16 cups Coarsely chopped tomatoes
1 cup Chopped onions
1 cup Cider vinegar
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup Granulated sugar
2 tablespoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cumin
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
In large saucepan, bring to boil tomatoes, onions, vinegar and garlic, stirring often. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until very tender, about 1 hour. Press through food mill or sieve into clean saucepan. Stir in sugar, chili powder, salt, cumin and cayenne pepper. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, until: thick enough to coat spoon, about 25 minutes. Fill and seal jars, process in boiling water bath for 30 minutes.
Makes about 8 cups
