BATTER
375 ml chana flour (available in specialty stores) 1 1/2 cup
5 ml salt 1 tsp
5 ml cayenne 1/2 tsp
5 ml garam masala 1 tsp
2 ml tumeric 1/2 tsp
250 ml water 1 cup
VEGETABLES
1 large potato
125 g cauliflower 1/4 lb
1 large onion
50 ml spinach 1/4 cup
vegetable oil for deep frying
Sift flour into mixing bowl; add next 5 ingredients. Mix well to form thick batter. Chop vegetables and stir into batter. Heat oil to 375 F (190 C). Drop spoonfuls of mixture into the hot oil. Cook until golden brown, turning whenever necessary.
