Breakfast Bars


Oats 300 g
Raisins 100 g
Flax seeds 2 tbsp
Linseeds 2 tbsp
Apple sauce 110 g
Sunflower oil 75 ml
Salt a pinch

Preheat the oven to 180°C (160° fan)|350F|gas 4 and line an 18 cm | 7” square baking tin with greaseproof paper.

Combine the oats, raisins, flax seeds, and linseeds in a large mixing bowl.

Melt together the apple sauce, sunflower oil, and salt in a saucepan set over a medium heat.

Whisk until smooth before pouring over the oats.

Stir well to combine before packing the mixture into the prepared tin.

Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until golden on top.

Remove the tin to a wire rack to cool completely before turning out and cutting into bars.

NOTE:
For a touch of luxury, add a handful of chocolate chips to the ingredients.
